Please, please, for the love of God, consolidate the "system program problem detected" messages into one single dialog, instead of a separate dialog for every file found in /var/crash (as it is today).

Have you used a MacBook before? I have. I have two and an iMac, and I'd still rate my experience in OpenSUSE (where I've ended up these days) as 1000% better than OSX aside from video codecs. So if you're not using that veg

Home Assistant is awesome. So much cleaner than OpenHAB. I just wish it supported Insteon PLM natively. For now, I'm making REST calls been OpenHAB and home Assistant to support this.

Thanks. Are they meshed like Eero, or does each AP have to have a physical connection to your lan? Edit: also, would you mind sharing the model you're using?

In my experience, placing the same SSID across multiple APs/channels and letting the clients decide is a problem, because the clients often get it wrong. Granted, most of what I see this on are Android-based systems (FireTVs, android p

Wow...so do these APs actually hand off client based on proximity/signal strength? I'm running a home-grown network with four openwrt routers running the same SSID, but client stickiness is my biggest problem. I've always bee

Do you see results like many have seen from SS? I've read that dumbbell workouts aren't necessarily as effective as barbells but I like the convenience of doing it from home. I've got a set of 50lb Powerblocks, an exercise ba

I moved from Google Apps to FastMail for six months or so. I'm back to Google Apps now. For me, I had a quite opposite experience...FastMail searching was much slower, and the return to folders instead of labels made organizing my mail

What a refreshingly honest answer...thank you. It's not often you see that sort of candor. I was personally a Rails guy, then switched to learning Django, but had the experience you note...both frameworks solved many problems which are

From what I've read it supports streaming music... To stream podcasts it'll have to have an app for that, and for using Audible it'll have to support, well, Audible. Add to that the fact that it requires its own 3g connection

I'm a runner, but I generally listen to tech podcasts or audible books while doing so. When someone gives me a watch with the ability to listen to these, combined with built-in GPS, I'm on board. Until then, I'll begrudgingly
