Quite nice. Though it has adverts for Shutterstock which I initially took for native site content.

Small SaaS vendor checking in. This comment rings true and it’s a constant battle.

It’s certainly easier with social media, but before that people used phones and in person meetings.

The early years are exceptionally difficult with 2 working parents (not to mention single). The first child especially is a shock to the system. Most parents will say it gets loads easier after those first few years. Poor sleep makes everyt

Got the email too. On the one hand it’s nice I guess they wanted to tell people ASAP. On the other hand it’s disconcerting there is no transition plan or information shared. Seems like waiting a few days for that would have been better.

Apple has a self host cloud division as well as AWS according to news reports. Unclear if they run on Linux but it seems likely they must, even a bit if using AWS. Theoretically they could probably upload custom AMIs with macOS.

Another data point. I have not used phone support, but been a customer since 2013 and have used the live chat quite a bit. It has always been extremely good. Never gone around with a bot. Last chat was maybe 1 month ago.

If they know it’s spreadable without symptoms, unfortunate, as is is, there’s a level of fault. Stupid is not a term I would use, though. Mingling with other people at a similar comfort level of contract Covid - that’s just adults being adu

If anyone at AWS is listening, please fix your new pricing tool. I have been using AWS for damn near a decade and miss the old pricing calc terribly. This new tool doesn’t return search results for fargate or proton pricing. I always fumble

I’ve had endless problems with Libre/Open Office and Apple Numbers + tracked changes. Since these are critical for contracts, I end up needing it. The Microsoft tools are total shit compared to gsuite on mac. But it’s the only option f

Whole heartedly agree. A gravity system is highly recommended if people go the water filter route.

Each one of these discussions kicks me enough to move another service or reset a few more email addresses to a personal domain. I’m mostly off google after a couple years.

From what I can tell, their public pricing is as low as $4 monthly ($48 a year) if locked in now. I guess it does not seem very expensive for unlimited integrations for an individual. I have not actually used the service but people have sun

I have used Go for a good 5 years when performance and maintainability are the necessary trade offs. It has the unique feature that all the code sorta looks the same style, across users. So the readability remains high during maintenance.

I work on a codebase with a lot of this type of code. So far the compiler is up for it. The only time it gets slow is using the Zod language for runtime validation.
