This reminds me of how I always associated South Indian food with vegetarian food growing up in Delhi, where the majority of South Indian restaurants are run by Brahmins. (As I now know) fish and meat are essential to southern cuisines, but

I'm surprised this article doesn't mention (to my mind) the most notable recent example of font detective work - the document(s) printed in Calibri that purportedly predated its release that were evidence in the corruption case(s)

The only time I've been interested in what Nick Clegg had to say recently has been when the writers of HIGNFY were writing what was on the autocue.

I had heard of his story in pop culture references (the van with enough acid to dose a major city) before, but did not know as much about him till I saw your comment and perused his Wikipedia page. This passage was particularly interesting

Y'know, I tried to search for opinions on ITU vs ICANN, but I couldn't find much signal amongst the noise - mostly handwavey arguments about how only the US can be trusted to uphold freedom and handing the control(s) of the Intern

Love the guy pushing the semantic republic =/= democracy argument in the comments with real conviction, as if the solution to American political problems lies there.

Just checked his wiki page. I always thought his would be a more humble story than most Indian IT titans since he went to Manipal rather than one of the IITs, but turns out his dad was an IAS officer. Interesting tidbit.

It's a little sinister to let the former DDCI cameo in a television show, is it not? Definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. I can imagine Americans might appreciate HBO pandering to them, but Game of Thrones is a pretty global show.

I was really pissed off because I had forgotten what the movie even was. Luckily a reference to it popped up in my RSS feeds. I'm pretty sure it was https://www.hailsatanfilm.com/ this. Now it seems that Magnolia Pictu

Reading the rest of the comments, it's surprising that so many people seem to have reduced WikiLeaks & Assange to 'co-conspirators with the President'. They've been around before the 2016 election.

Same - git repository (I presume), and GNU stow. Stow is a good way to maintain symlinks, but I see the value of not having that additional dependency. The OP's method is nifty, I might try it out.

There were multiple lawsuits brought by regulatory and classes last year against the DRAM cartel. I think the current downward spiral in DRAM prices may be related to that, although supposedly that's the result of a production glut (I
