We do the same thing with getX and setX; it would be interesting to see more "meaningful" function names in a language.

Mr. Shaw giving an "extreme talk" on using ZeroMQ, Advanced Network Architectures With ZeroMQ , should be interesting. For those that don't know ZeroMQ and why it's so useful, here's a few links: http://nichol.as/zeromq-an-introduction

Let's apply this to feudalism: If we (the serfs) are truly creating so much more wealth for these lords than we take in salary, it should be easy (ish) to turn that into more money for ourselves, even if the lords don't want us to do that.

From the link, it seems like you get four of Mr. Tufte's books for the price of $140; if you're planning on buying the books.

To serve a single client, it doesn't matter, but when you're serving more than a few thousand of clients concurrently, there's benefits to a faster web-server. I mean, more concurrent clients on the same hardware, better average/worst-case

I don't think this is the right attitude to have. You should judge IE9 by its own merit, not by past misgivings. You can't (and shouldn't) be compelled to try IE9, but the reason you aren't using it should be that another browser works just

What are your plans for monetization? Advertising to such a targeted audience could be very lucrative, and I'm sure lots of startups would be interested in advertising here! Currently, all we have is "organic" advertisement through interest

This is a classic example of observation bias. We literally only observe the prominent cases, but forget that the vast majority of Google hires (and there are thousands of them) are NOT "high-profile" developers or startup founders.
