Nvidia has been powering the AI(ML) progress for the last 10 years and it's because they have the best hardware/software combo for processing vectors. There's nothing lucky about being continuously dominant in a space (GPUs)

VRAM is king. If you have the VRAM to hold the model parameters, you can run it.

It's possible, but the AI space right now is all about the vibes and even the French President isn't feeling it[0]. The job market for AI/ML people is white hot right now and this is something Mistral has to try to explain a

Mistral is in France though and the EU is throwing cold water on "AI" at the moment. I think this hurts them in the long run.

This is either false or just a shit show of a business. I’ve done work with several credit unions. They operate their IT just like any other business. The NCUA doesn’t make IT decisions for them.

TLDR: It was a mistake and they unblocked it as soon as they found out about it.

I wonder if the laws will be written in a way that we can get around them by just dropping the “AI” marketing fluff and saying that we’re building some ML/stats system.

While it may be hard to see in first world countries, imagine being in a third world country and having a place you can store value that can't be debased by your crackpot dictator. That's huge.

Try it. Use your hand to hold your eye lids up and see what happens. edit* if you're talking about other means of persuasion, it's the same risk factor as if you had a PIN to unlock it.

Just close your eyes. The Face ID on an apple device won't unlock if you have your eyes closed.

500+ miles means I can just charge up on the weekend and not be bothered with it during the week. I'd pay for that convenience.

I can't speak to Venmo/Cashapp, but Zelle does take backs. It's for specific areas of fraud such as the fraudster impersonating a government official/agency, or things like fake not for profits.

Not for Zelle/Venmo/etc.. Zelle is for P2P (person to person) and FedNow is for A2A (account to account). There are no take backs on FedNow so it's not intended to be used for P2P. No take backs means no recourse for fraud
