I would assume this also applies to corporate projects as well. Perfect example: There are 2 Plex alternatives I know of that sort of fit this mold. One is called Emby that started as open source and turned into a closed source commercial p

I also miss the days when words actually meant something. Back when "spyware" actually meant "steals your data, without you knowing" not "collects useful info to help the developer".

The one improvement modern Windows has over Windows from the 90s is the lack of those godawful cascading menus that would disappear off the screen the second you even slightly missed a hover target. I do not miss those at all.

Energy consumed doing nothing of value, is substantially worse than energy consumed actually doing something. So yes you are correct, it would be pretty easy win, but not for who you think.

What does this have to do with anything? Shipping something on Android does not guarantee functional builds for regular Linux, and PlayStation uses a heavily customized FreeBSD fork. Neither of which are helpful for much of anything.

I think Stadia failed because of a combo of reasons. Main 2 being: 1) Google. 2) Their pricing model made no sense. Geforce NOW (NVIDIA's Stadia) works a lot better IMO, and doesn't require you go through them to acquire games. It
