Yes GN IMO is a much better experience than CMake. Its fully self-contained in a single binary that you can easily just distribute with your code. I have a small python script I use with it to regen files, and then to run Ninja to do the ac

Took me less than an hour to figure out how to build it just reading the instructions they have on their website for building. Skia really isn't that hard to use IMO even for GPU accelerated stuff.

Windows 95 brought us those god-awful cascading menus that would disappear the second you missed a hover target by a single pixel. I for one am glad those died out. I don't understand how anyone could say that mess was good.

There are so many stupid decisions that were made with Windows 11 that it's probably good that most people can't use it without creating tons of ewaste replacing perfectly functional HW.

Really? There are tons of ways to get apps on an Android device that don't involve a store charging ridiculous fees.

I was interested enough to go look at your page. I didn't find any ways to download a server package to run locally and immediately lost interest.

All the stuff I use on Windows (save for Discord) is a real native app. I don't use the new Outlook app because MS email apps usually suck compared to what's available elsewhere.

For desktop use, Qt is quite widely used pretty much everywhere. I only ever see React Native being used so a company can claim to have a "native" mobile app.

I started a new React project back in December after being annoyed with Angular, just to see whether it would be any less annoying and/or quicker. It's been neither of those things and I'm actually beginning to regret making

I can't believe I have to say this but your experience is not universal. On several of my devices that are plenty fast enough for pretty much anything else, the scrolling is still pretty laggy. Looking at CPU usage I see that having th
