Thanks for sharing, I have been looking for a reasonably priced managed NextCloud solution, but had a hard time finding any. NextCloud should focus more on promoting the actors that offers a simple way to get started. I tried contacting sev

This behavior is ironic considering Marks 'free speech' stance regarding other controversial topics. Also, I was not aware that our pension fund owned 1% of Meta. That has to change.

I have heard disturbing stories from tech-illiterate windows users complaining about forced upgrades, reboots—even fullscreen Office365 ads. It's a pain to be "the computer guy" for windows users. They need help constantly an

Had not thought about that! I want to set up my old Lenovo X220 with a minimal distro and was thinking of using Alpine + Sway. Using Flatpak for all the "regular" apps more than makes up for the apps not present in Alpines repos.

Having observed (well deserved) criticism of both Snap and Flatpak during the years, Flatpak seems to emerge as the most sensible solution, continuously addressing and improving on the pain points and security challenges. I have been using

It's pretty well hidden and involves quite a few steps. I think you should be able to follow the same steps as in this Firefox Nightly guide: https://www.ghacks.net/2020/10/01/you-can-now-install-any-ad..

I can recommend Fennec. You can activate a developer mode and install any extensions you want to.

I went from LibreWolf to arkenfox a few months back. I like the idea of having a vanilla FF installed and applying the arkenfox rules to a profile, with a few personal tweaks. The LibreWolf flatpak had a few quirks that Firefox did not have

That SVG bundle trick was neat, going to test it out on my next Hugo adventure.

This makes me sad. Hopefully, new, inovative and non-VC funded solutions will fill the void. I recently discovered the stream2own service Resonate. Really cool stuff, but the catalog of artists is currently small (~3500 indie artists).

This goes to show that Hugo is quite excellent, but it's docs are lacking. Learning it was one long fight, but after having understood the basic concepts and gained experience using it for several projects, I really came to appreciate

I have brought up this exact point on the Hugo forum before [0]. Hugo would become much more accessible if the documentation would be split into the four categories mentioned in the link you provide. This way of thinking about documentation

You can use BookWyrm without thinking about the federated aspect, and I think many do. The benefits is that you are not signing up to a walled garden and that people from other communities can follow and interact with you. We have gotten so

I use BookWyrm [0], which is not only social but decentralized (ActivityPub) and thus interoperable with other social networks like Mastodon. It's nothing fancy, it just works and it is nice to be able to follow (or share) quotes or re

I have my eyes set on the german electric car, Sion. It's the closest match I have found to my Toyota Corolla Verso (2006), which have no smart functions, no displays — just a safe and extremely functional car. Sion is reasonably price
