Absolutely. A much more compelling story of customer service. An extemporaneous act done without extravagant giveaways or lavish incentives. And the outcome? Pure magic.

It's been clear for some time now that, among top developers, Github has started replacing the resume. Work for Pie seems like a convenient way of getting -- at a glance -- an idea of the quality of a developer's Github profile.

Implementing a 24-hour customer service phone line for their host partners immediately puts Airbnb head-and-shoulders above eBay and PayPal in the trust and reliability department.

I was very surprised to read your comment. Mainly because I also received a very negative first impression from his profile photo, but I thought it was just me. The post itself was great. Since Airbnb is mostly waging a battle of perception

Buffett wasn't suggesting we mandate a balanced budget, simply a cap on deficit spending proportional to the nation's GDP.

... no experience in the current system, that is. This proposal would change that system dramatically. Upending congress might be tumultuous, but compared to bankrupting the nation it still counts as the lesser of two evils.

You're welcome. Great work so far, by the way. I really like the interface. A group of friends and I built a small HTML5 game prototype as part of a weekend hackathon a few months ago: http://diluvia.com We haven't worked on it since the

To the author: you mention determination as one of the keys to success. Strongly agreed. If you want Flax to be successful, then stick with it and continue providing timely updates and support. Don't waste time worrying about whether each r

This article brings to mind what I dislike about the modern game industry. First off, what is a game? Let's consider two broad types of games: competitive games and puzzle games. Competitive games (like chess) feature more than one player a

"American society doesn't need any city" I agree that American society doesn't need any one particular city, but we do need a healthy ecosystem of urban areas. My question is: are the smaller, lower-tier cities necessary in order to have th

To be fair, the author does not claim that the XOR patent was to blame for Commodore's demise. Rather, the claim is that: 1) Management "bet the farm" on CD32. 2) XOR patent infringement claims killed CD32. 3) The failure of the CD32 produc
