Interesting that the government put together a policy framework to "save the bees", but the market corrected itself anyway. Also interesting that you can buy a queen bee online for $25.

It really was. Colony collapse disorder was bad for the colonies and breeders that experienced it, yes. But the honeybee industry has been going strong, contradicting all the apocalyptic warnings.

To offer an example of a project that has stood the test of time far longer than the ones you mentioned, consider Fortran. The first compiler was released in 1957, several years after it was first proposed. The specification took a couple o

I'm not sure it's so obvious, but it does seem like a good idea to try stateside: a dating site where women get all the power.

It is necessary to mention it. My impression is, the best way to go is to get the apnea treated first, most likely with CPAP. Once your sleep is improved and you get more energy, then you should get on a weight loss program, using diet and

Results may vary, but side sleeping in general is much better if you suffer from apnea. The tennis ball trick is often suggested. The reason why side sleeping works better is because when you are sleeping on your back, gravity naturally mak

I am at step 4 now. I can only do the at-home sleep study though, but I do have time for that at least. Hopefully the process here in Florida is easier than it is in the Bay Area.

The tenure system is a relic. It served its purpose but it's not compatible with today's culture. It may or may not be the case that only 1% of the population realize the full extent of how bad it is, but a large part of the popul

What we learned from the Wii is that those kinds of controls can move over 100 million console units. Seems people don't mind the lack of force feedback that much.

I'd be interested in learning the reasons for this trend. Vocal communication seems more efficient than text. There's no pauses between what you say and what the other person says. I wonder if that could be a reason for the declin
