Great find. The community/culture component is an entirely separate topic but also relevant to Turntable's success (or lack thereof).

Turntable launched with mainstream attraction and has since settled toward a niche audience. I have a friend that uses Turntable on a daily basis like yourself, but he is not the mainstream. As I mentioned in another HN reply, not all prod

In many ways, it's never been easier to get validation and traction for your startup idea. Email-first is a good strategy for some but I'd love to hear other lean ideas and examples. Forum-first? SMS-first? B&M-first?

You're right, Snapchat has network effects which _does_ create a commitment effect; however, as Nir Eyal points out, network effects aren't enough ( http://techcrunch.com/2012/11/04/the-network-effect-isnt-goo... ). The rapid growth of Sna

Would love to hear other's thoughts on developing company culture. Do you have any "processes" for encouraging the right things? What tools do you use that help define your culture?

The HN audience has a high overlap with Quibb. Although less technical and development focused, I discover a lot of good startup and industry-centric content through the site.
