Same here - I remember when you'd get games as .COM file with a nag screen/message etc that you could just skip over by flipping a jump instruction... I remember being super puzzled when I tried that with a .exe and it didn't

Extremely well structured and delivered talk on lambda calculus. I got interested with a recent post here on deriving boolean logic in lambda calculus - but most of the material I found didn't help. This talk made it click.

Yes and much more straight forward to interface with hardware - but also requires some level of exp with said low level languages. Arduino did a lot to reduce barrier to entry to the uC world - but even that requires you to understand a lit

Can anyone here comment on espressif's ble mesh implementation? I saw a few demos d went through their sdk samples a year and a half ago but those were pretty raw then

I've recently started with Fsharp (this is after a couple of attempts before where the paradigm didn't stick). I liked this book a lot as well. In addition, there's pluralsight series by Mark Seemann that I found very useful.

I'm one of the mediocre players and what's helped tremendously for chess tactics is the book "predator at the chess board" (it's available online) and lichess's puzzles.

I'm still on wsl1.. and just ran into this today.. you can run docker for windows and the docker client on wsl can access it over tcp For docker composer i had to change the root in wsl.Conf
