If OP has server logs, that is already happening anyway since the initial request to load the script is coming from the users' browsers, not from the site linking to it. That might be a reason in favor of disallowing the linking entire

It's worth noting that subsystems are an old Windows concept dating back to the original Windows NT in 1993. The win32 API itself is a subsystem of the underlying NT system. And the WoW64 subsystem allows 32-bit Windows apps to run on

I get the impression that some government contracts are used as stealth subsidies. And SpaceX, Tesla, and Starlink have benefited from plenty of actual subsidies, too. To be clear, I'm not implying that's a bad thing. These compan

The shuttle SRBs provided most of its thrust and they were certainly recovered, refurbished, and reused. As was the main engine, given that it was attached to the shuttle.

Sure, but the question isn't whether you can, it's whether you want to. General aviation's accident and fatality rates are atrocious.

The world's largest salt mine is underneath Lake Huron near Goderich, Ontario. I believe lakers pick up loads of salt there as well.

Disclaimer: I work for Prefect. It looks like we added cron and other schedule types to the deployment CLI just under a month ago[1]. Over the last couple of releases, we've also made it easier to pull deployments from GitHub or bake y

OS/2 Warp was a great way to get preemptive multitasking for 16-bit apps. If my memory is correct, 16-bit apps still only had cooperative multitasking even on Windows 95/98. I might be wrong, though, because it's been a long,

Prop drilling in this context is just passing both state and update function(s) for that state into a component via its props.

If you'd be willing to run your own VPS on DO, you might also like Tornado VPS (formerly known as prgmr). It's cheap, performance is decent, and there are no overages. AWS Lightsail might be a good option as well. These would have

I think the same is true for most drinks that you can buy ready-to-consume in small packaging. For me at least, the value is mostly in the production and supply chain that ensures the drink is created, bottled, and distributed to a phalanx

Mortgages in Canada are typically amortized over 25 years. The 5 year term is the length of your contract with your current lender. Once that is up, you can renew with them or shop around for a better deal or better service. At once point i

Mark, I respect you and I enjoy reading your thoughtful messages on HN. I think you're missing a bit of context. I doubt many truckers were violent, but the truckers weren't the only one there. Their presence created a center of g

You must have skipped the parts of the "protest" that stretched way down streets like Kent St. and Metcalfe St. No fancy condos down there. Just cheaper apartments. That's where the problems were happening. If it had just bee

It is an arrestable offense and it's not even borderline. Honking air horns and train horns in (or near) a residential area is an easy mischief charge under the criminal code, as mentioned above. Here they are around 11pm last night:

Honking regular horns? No. Annoying, but not violent. These were train horns that were well over 100db outside and still over 80db inside people's apartments. Loud enough to cause permanent hearing damage. So yes, if you're doing

Not to nitpick, but Jim Watson was a Liberal MPP, not Conservative. I know he hasn't been especially effective during all of this but there's also not much he can do since mayors here are pretty much glorified councillors.

I wouldn't doubt that for the train horns, especially outdoors. ~80db inside an apartment is what I heard personally from someone I trust who lives there still, so that's usually what I go with.
