Not sure, but I am personally rooting for Lawrenceville Plasma Physics because if it works, it is the best one in terms of economics, has no radioactive by-products, and is small enough to fit into ships, trains, large planes, and spacecraf

I think it is worth the money, if you can afford it, to just do it right from the beginning (Delaware C Corp). Significantly reduces stress. If you need to raise money, you can do it and there wont be any issue with your incorporation docum

You do have a minimum state tax regardless of revenue or profit, but corporate income tax is only on profit. Therefore double taxation does not matter until you are profitable. In addition, you can "carryover" losses from previous

#1 has gotten significantly better since 9.0. There are still issues, but it continues to get better. For #2, there are plenty of managed PG services (AWS RDS, Heroku, etc) if you have trouble with the sysadmin. For #4, Postgres has materia

Oh I see. Specifically for RDBMS and graphics: video game engines. Game engines are a bit weird because sometimes you need hierarchical data structures, stream processing, multi-core processing (e.g. physics), etc. I worked on a game engine

It is published and you can find it somewhere in Purdue's library. It is not online though. It is a regret of mine that we didn't publish at a conference or journal, but at the time I was too concerned with getting out of there. I

There are a lot details I am leaving out because I don't have time or patience to explain them in a HN comment. That 3 months turned into an entire chapter (~15 pages) of my thesis. But I will tell you a little bit about it. The data w

Accessing is easy. Making it fast enough off disk to feed the beast (GPU) is not. The DB has already solved that problem and given a really simple interface: SQL. My hand tuned code was probably faster but not enough to warrant 3 months of

I used to think the same thing as much of my early career was spent in graphics. Then I got much more familiar with relational databases and realized I was an idiot. For example I spent about 3 months hand tuning code that read a quad from

I think you might be conflating owner and CEO. Owners often don't have to work every day after the business is running smoothly and they have hired good people to manage it. CEOs have to work every day just like all other employees and

This is pretty cool. Overall I like the product and it is easy to use. I have some feedback too. For the runway calculation, it would be great if I could add an estimate for upcoming expenses to see how that changes the calculation. For exa

How much data are we talking about? If it is small and static, then it can probably just be stored in git. If it is dynamic and/or large, the typical solution is to have a separate table with diffs and timestamps. You could even add th
