We still have far to go. You can tell by the pace if improvement in so many dimensions. If the popcorn's popping had started slowing down, I might believe you, but instead it's speeding up.

The full story is that CDs have a physicality to them that can be somewhat inconvenient. But the concept holds. I have a directory in a copyparty share that I stream music from constantly. It's probably 20 albums worth of music, and it

I've been working in startups since 2012 and this was a superbly crafted narrative that articulates so many of the odd circumstances that lead to inscrutable decisions in early stage companies...really well done!

Their goal is to hold a standard of security and privacy that can be trusted. They want the brand to be associated with that level of security and privacy. Sticking to Pixel allows them to leave their brand undiluted in this respect.

Well done! Nice design, good utility, and you kept it simple. Thanks for the writeup on the technical approach.

You're restating the problem, but the issue is with the proposed solution. Creating a surveillance state in an attempt to improve society is myopic. We know a surveillance apparatus will be abused to oppress people (it's already h

The only stated reason for his resignation is that Google is no longer adhering to their promise to not use AI for weapons. I was surprised that the reasoning was so one-dimensional.

Check your harness. I use Kimi K2.6 for a lot of stuff with OpenCode and omp and it's extremely effective. I'm gonna try 2.7, but it should be capable model based on what I've seen with previous models.

Same. Been using this approach since 2012 and it works very well. I do have TailScale to make access a bit easier, and my AI box has proven to be a bit touchy as I do OS/kernel upgrade that match my ROCm drivers. This got a little bit

Yeah, I have to manually edit the URL to be xcancel instead every time. Maybe there's a grease monkey script around that handles this kind of thing. I can write one if not. Edit: going to try this out https://greasyfork.org&

This is my take, but I am a bit frustrated by OS manufacturers. The obvious move is have a screen after factory reset the puts the device in kid mode permanently. It then will send a "I'm underage" flag to sites, and sites re

Offline and online are not equivalent spaces. They're not symmetric, they don't fail in the same way, and they don't have the same hazards or risks. I say this because I don't think the argument that we should do it onli
