PCI passthrough just works on esxi, couple of clicks done. Seems a little more involved in proxmox.

Everytime I log into my esxi host I wish the storage used zfs. I know proxmox does and I'll probably head that way eventually.

This is the only reason I still know Roman numerals. Still do try and work out what they are if I get that far into the credits.

Watch history now include videos you've only hovered over. Very annoying since if you hover over something and then watch it later it doesn't start from the beginning, it starts from where it left off from the hover.

Fair enough. If I change the mac address of my router the ISP locks me out for a substantial amount of time, deffinately not an option.

by roygbiv2 3y ago
The mac address is layer 2 and no one other than your ISP knows it. Changing it does nothing for your privacy since your ISP knows it anyway.

That's deffinately not true, I used to go to the casino under no illusion I'd come out poorer. I'd just do it because it was fun.

This is also exactly how mine is done. Started off with a bunch of 2TB disks. I've now got a mixture of 16TB down to 4TB, all in the original pool.

There are various reasons why it can't. The main one being that: > Since 1987, when the United Kingdom extended its territorial waters to 12 nautical miles, the platform has been in British territory.

You want separate logins to purchase dlc? You also now want the current login severs to continue to support the old game logins and handle auth for them? So we're still supporting the old game, still maintaining it. These old unmaintai

by roygbiv2 3y ago
No it's deffinately not as easy as that. You need to manage those servers, manage the updates, security patches, roll out updates to the game server... Because it will need updates because things break or need security updates etc. Ma

How does one upgrade from v2 beta to the latest v2? The docs for doing that seem to no longer exist https://github.com/influxdata/influxdb/issues/24393

Yeah I recently found this out. It never really did work that well, I did manage to telnet into an SMTP server and manually send an email but for anything else it struggled. I wonder if TCP over ICMP would work better.

by roygbiv2 3y ago
You can still telnet into SMTP and send mail. Gets tricky if you need to do starttls though.

I wanted a data drive for my mini disks so bad back in the 90s. It just never happened and writeable CDs happened instead.

Haha we had the same thing! Mum was always complaining about the phone being in use and I used to have to put the duvet over the pc to hide the modem calling, the AT commands to turn off the speaker never worked. Eventually that company rel

Just got myself a miyoo mini plus. Plays Tony hawk for the ps1 at 60fps which I find amazing. It's perhaps a tad small but that makes it very portable, there are similar devices if you want something bigger.

As others have said you need a tariff that's hourly, be warned though people got bitten with this when prices soared to many pounds per kW/h, it's not always this low.
