Potato was the only food eaten by the majority of Irish people, up until 1848. An average man ate up to 60 potatoes per day.

Consumer blogs have been gushing over Macbook Air M1 for years, and most of them say not to even bother getting a Pro because it's so good.

I also have this problem, so I made a tool that lets you write your commit messages in-advance. It helps me to focus on one problem at a time. https://github.com/synek/git-plan One feature I wanted to add was for it to

Funny you say that, because I built that as well: https://github.com/synek/codeline It's even earlier in development than git-plan, but the `commit -m "some message"` command works.

The site has a Let's Encrypt cert so it should be fine. I made some DNS changes to it yesterday though so maybe that has something to do with it.

That is not how it works, but it's an interesting idea. My worry is that it's a little fragile in the same way that vanilla git is fragile - you can accidentally start working on a new task and mess up your stack. In reality, git-

Hey folks, I'm the author. Context-switching is hard. Having the discipline to prioritise effectively is hard, using git branches effectively is hard, and building tools to magically make it easier is...hard. Git-plan doesn't solv

Oops, good point. I totally forgot about Show HN (I'm not on here very often). It's still in development for now, so when the first "release" version is ready I'll post it as a Show HN. I agree about the declarative

Hi folks, I'm the creator. Codeline aims to combine the context-aware power of IDE extensions with the expressiveness of command-line tools. To that end, Codeline will give commands read & write access to the source-code context, a

Anyone interested in this concept should read The Innovator's Dilemma. It covers the idea innovation suffocation within big organizations very well and is just an overall fantastic book.

Hi guys, Metro is a new way for companies to collect data. It works by allowing your users to generate useful data on any website, and share it with your company. It's mutually beneficial, and ethical by design. Feel free to ask me any

You have full control. Data generation is opt-in, on a per-project basis, and you can pause data generation whenever you want. The data is generated by plugins called DataSources, which are community-made and open-source. Since the communit
