I had a hard time reading this post as well. Having a company fail when you are in charge is a difficult for anyone. Yet the "lessons" about needing to find yourself came off as self centered. What about your team who needs to

If this is the case, let's see it in action. There is a great deal of information about this event that has been released to the public so I am curious to see if the experts in this field can generate probable locations of the aircraf

The biases of this article aside, he sounds like a very interesting man. It saddens me that the way we found out who he really is was by a very gross invasion of his privacy. A sit down interview (in person or virtually)would have been mu

I tend to lean libertarian and did some GIS and tax programming for some county governments. I never saw issues with it. There are some government functions that really only government can do. In this case figuring out exactly who owns w

So you want them only to read what has been "approved"? At that rate they should stop reading Noam Chomsky because he may have writings not favorable to the US Military. The idea of education (even at a US Military Academy) is le

this is rank hypocrisy. The NSA is simply using what "security researchers" have been talking about at Defcon for years. One lone hacker gets into a telecom's system and he makes a name for himself (or herself). A governme

I most likely going to get down voted for this, but am I the only one who sees the irony in that this is a conference dedicated to breaking into systems and they don't want the people who are arguably better at it than anyone else?

Make something that aligns with what your interviewer is doing. If you don't know much about the space that is ok, but it will at least give you an intro to some of the problems they are facing.

I had a yahoo account that got jacked Sunday Night. I checked my computers for any sort of malware and didn't find any. It was a completely automated attack that sent one large email to all my contacts.
