I have a Sebo E3 that has been fantastic. Plastic, but still seems very durable. Very well thought out design, too. Miele also makes a good vacuum, but I prefer Sebo.

Thank you! This was the very first question that popped into my head. My gut said it had to be a fraction. I did not realize just how small a fraction.

Hell, it's been decent (relatively) for pushing EV adoption within the US, too, in addition to renewable energy. This is not the first time that I've wondered if Donald Trump isn't secretly still a democrat at heart.

But you have a head of state who can, in theory, remove the head of government at their own discretion, right? In the US the head of state and the head of government are the same person.

Yeah it made me feel the instant onset of what I recognize from vast personal experience as motion sickness. I would never be able to use this. Even aside from that, the constant feeling of going downhill would be off-putting to me.

I didn’t express an opinion, I asked questions. Did you reply to the wrong comment maybe? I live in a city too, but I do not think that makes me very unique ;)

How much of this is because that's where the jobs are? Take that away and where would people choose to live? Wasn't there a notable exodus from SF, for example, during covid when many jobs went remote?

The value is going up, but the pricing is going down, right? At least at the token level. So the usage would have to go up dramatically to compensate for that. > there is an upper bound for the price of a house set by people’s income I

Compared to a wire, Starlink is low bandwidth, high latency, and does still have short outages. I use it for my backup, but I would never choose it as my primary even over Comcast.

Yeah you have to be committed to buy an old house. It's fun but can be a lot of work. I was selling the home I grew up in after my mom passed, so getting it sold was my only priority. We ended up not doing anything but refinish some

Inspections are common but mostly just a surface examination. They cannot, for example, inspect electrical wiring. They can recommend you hire an electrical inspector. I just sold a 120 year old house. “I don’t know” is a valid answer to

AFAIK the biggest risk is disclosure. Some states (Oregon for sure) explicitly require the seller to disclose unpermitted work. It's part of the standard forms you fill out with your realtor when making the listing. They won't s

It feels like 5.6-Sol is already fairly close to Fable, and in some ways exceeds it. Just the other day I had Fable draw up a solution for me, and then I fed it into 5.6-Sol and said how does this look ... it found an oversight and told me

Good timing. I'm not too happy having to pay MAX pricing to even access Fable, and I've had a couple situations where Fable missed things and GPT 5.6-Sol caught it. My needs are modest and I can get by on a $20 OpenAI subscripti

It is really exposing the CAN bus, it is not some adjacent subsystem overlaying the steering guides and rearview video by interrupting the video signal? It's actually entirely coming from the aftermarket HU? That's fascinating!

That seems like something not hard to fix, I am surprised they haven't already addressed it. Uber, as a comparison, absolutely narrows down the drop-off & pickup to the side of the road you want. I would demand the same of Waymo.

Why is there a requirement to guarantee it safe? I don't believe that requirement exists for tasers, for example, which are just considered less lethal. Same for rubber bullets.
