Another thing that the game emphasized (based on the 1984 book “the Evolution of Cooperation“) is how misunderstandings increase mistrust. The Web is full of misunderstandings. The other takeaway is to foster Win-win situations as opposed t

I would make all creations public by default, and have a gallery area. This would add to my trust in what the 0.99$ does, as well as be cool on its own.

I'm sorry to hear that. No, your reply wasn't too negative considering it's a very serious loss. Yes, as you said, we underestimate the power that small sounds have, and that we, as professionals, are losing this accidental f

There are a lot of good points made against copilot. But I’m optimistic in that it will improve with time. At worst it’s an efficient code copy-pasting tool, but at best it could be the next level of abstraction.

This is my ideal type of article on HN. A namable concept, applicable, and without trying to be subversive. It was immediately define, had a real world example, and was short and well written.

If so, I think he knew the features weren’t finished, but he demanded the product not to crash nevertheless. It’s an interesting thing to expect as a product owner: A stability-first approach to development. I personally hate the “it’s temp

I know it sounds like he’s “poisoning the well,” but this comment answered the question I had in my head. I thought the source was left-leaning but the article had a conservative voice. It’s important to know who’s writing: The article is n

I rewrote all my shell scripts to typescript+node.js. I enjoy type safety and good dev tools. Ever since, I wonder why long shell scripts are needed. Why do some developers still write programs like these? What advantages shell have?

Never thought of that. Corporate meetings to be able to say "we can tackle the challenge" and then go and do it. The meetings are for "what" vs "how."
