I've been seeing videos about this for probably 20 years (here's a link from 2009 https://phys.org/news/2009-06-gecko-feet-advances-science-fr... ). But it's starting to seem like an elusive graphene-type

I think no matter what you write, the user can always write a prompt that causes a logical contradiction (Gödel, Escher, Bach). At that point, the results are up for grabs. "This record cannot be played on record player X" is anal

I think the question is where are the errors reported? Would you see logs in dmesg for example? Or is there some smartctl-like tool that exposes the raw correction counters?

Can the children defend themselves, or are they legally required to passively accept the beatings? If you're going to beat people's kids, at least level the playing field.

I'm with you. I hate that this is just accepted. This kind of thing is why I run linux. I'd go so far as to say this has antitrust implications. MS is using their dominance in one market (operating systems) to collect market data

> Every human life has value. You say that because you're a human. If you were a frog, I bet you'd value frogs' lives more than humans. Why do you think it's your place to change others' lives into whatever form

Why is a frog's life more bleak and meaningless than a human's life? We can't understand animals' thoughts, but that doesn't mean they don't have them. A frog spends its time chilling in a pond and swimming all

Rust promises backwards compatibility, but I'm not aware of any language that promises forwards compatibility -- not even C. C compilers from 1999 aren't able to compile code that uses C11 features.

I think the idiomatic way to write that is: fn add(x: Option<i32>, y: Option<i32>) -> Option<i32> { Some(x? + y?) }

Is the content-blocking model tied to the manifest version, or can you mix and match? Or, rephrased: could gorhill conceivably upgrade uBlock Origin's manifest.json to v3, while still using the v2 content blocking APIs?

>the global ethnographic evidence suggests that [kissing] is common in only 46% (77) of the cultures sampled Now this is interesting. I live in the US where kissing is a big part of the culture, but I've never personally liked it. I
