Stockholm Syndrome implies that Perl is bad, no? I disagree. Just as it allows you to write horrible stuff, you can just as well get your shit together and do it maintainable, robust and nice to the eye :) And as the author states, you (alm

The astute reader will notice that one soon can do s/perl/currentfancylanguage/g and this article is essentially about the b0rked interview culture/hiring process established with some corporations, be it small or big, e

Not exactly; the specification called for a plastic layer on both sides of the metal data layer. In cheaply produced media however the top layer (top here = the one with the print on it) was made as thin as possible, or even omitted and jus

Very interesting, though I'm really missing information on what kind of material they are using. While it's true that CD's can take a bit of the kind of environmental abuse they describe (you scratching your game's CD do

Not sure what I expected, but maybe someone could point out to me what's so outstanding about this? I mean, it looks good, it's KISS, principles on how to create a solution to a problem/a software were followed... Genuine int

I'm wondering about the merits though. Does the Mac pro really pack so much more power per m^3 so as to justify not to use regular pizza boxes? I guess there must be a certain market of clients asking for powerful 24/7 mac's.

Randomly, but seldomly. I use a hackintosh for my day-to-day work, and so far I only had one update where I needed to roll back until new patches were available. 10.9.0 to 10.9.1 went completely smooth for example.

I like it very much; both the code and interface seem clean and lightweight. You should use mysqli prepared statements though, after a quick glance over the code I can't quite shake the feeling that there might be some sql injections l

I'm a big fan of minimalism. I love markdown I hate HTML If you hate HTML, are you sure you should write something that outputs exactly that?
