I have a MBPR and the connector stays in very well. I just tried "brushing" it and my laptop moved against the pressure. I'm guessing pogue generalized this issue and only has a sample of 1 (his MBA). NYT strikes again..

You're implying that this is the picture someone (companies? media? society?) has painted for "purely" digital artists. It is a silly position to look at this document and say, "See! ~40,000 and only ~$100 for their efforts! Haha!". If you

I'm interested in the developer's thought processes regarding the functions of this application. Google Docs and Instagram are related how? I don't conflate users of either services with users of the other necessarily.

I recall using jsbin a month or so ago and had it fail on some basic JS I had inputted to test it out. Anecdotal and without proof but that is what made me decide on using jsfiddle. Going to give jsbin another try with this new version. *ed

Agreed. "So what's your next step?" "Well, I might do this..." 15 seconds in, "Okay sorry to cut you off short, I'm a terrible interviewer and my degree is in liberal arts, you're smart and stuff bye."

I think people who are entering college with the mindset that a degree is simply an accolade to garner large sums of money are misunderstanding the principal of college and higher-education learning. You go to college because you're interes

I'm surprised this article is on the front page of HN. If developers are not X but are Y, then surely all of these schemes to employ and get developers with X tactics will soon disappear for lack of efficacy.

Why is it a waste of time if it gets you the job? The answer is "trivially easy" so it shouldn't take you long to waste your time on. I'd wager that you spent at least twice as much time writing up your response to this article than it woul
