It depends on what you mean by "shouldn't". The Oxford comma is optional and considered syntactically correct if used. If you mean that it is more concise to leave it out, then thats another issue. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serial_comma

Just a curious question that has nothing to do with the Chrome logo. Your link has the rlz string that is presumably for your Chrome/Chromium browser. Can that be personally identifiable information for anyone other than Google?

i feel like this wont spawn an equivalent to facebooks "like" button, or twitters "retweet" or "follow me". when i say that im referring to those buttons on third party sites. but then again it might be in googles interest to do so.

I suppose it's just the irritation from the term HTML5 being used in all sorts of inaccurate or misleading ways. What you said wasn't inaccurate, but I feel like throwing in the term HTML5 was unnecessary. But yeah, it's pedantic. It's most

Not closing the tag is nothing specific to HTML5, it just means you aren't strict on XHTML. HTML4 and others would be the same.

This seems like it could spawn some interesting projects! WARNING: Rant One thing that bothers me that has little to do with the event is the page loading efficiency of the site. It takes an average of 15 seconds for the initial HTML docume

I'm not sure why it's OSX devs faults for inconsistent use of hotkeys. It should really be on the developers of those specific apps. It's not like Apple developed apps have this general issue. If Windows and Linux are dealing with this issu

On both my Windows and Mac machines, I use Chrome which comes with Flash. So I didn't do a system wide install for Flash at all and thus Steam doesn't see that I have it installed anywhere even though I do.

It's funny, a friend of mine asked me why "all Japanese people want to look white" as I am from japan (I don't look even a little bit white, let alone Japanese). The fact is that paleness has been associated with beauty there since before t

Um if I remember correctly, Windows 1.0 had a tiling window manager. In fact even now if you right click the taskbar you have the option of tiling windows.

I can't agree with you more. I have Logic Pro because I do a bit of audio work, but other than that it's all FOSS. (BTW, I use TextWrangler instead of TextMate. It's a reasonable free replacement although not as good.)

I think you hit the nail on the head by saying that Linux doesn't attract UX guys. To ne feels like open source projects are always about getting good code that runs well and the user-interface is very secondary (if even that). Apple (and n

Hmm.. it seems like people are using tabs to deal with a problem that bookmarks have already solved. Someone on here said they have one or two hundred tabs open for months. Is that really necessary? Couldn't tabs organised in folders solve

Exactly necessary was it to implement this site in Flash? It's quite a bit of overkill for such a simple app.

I'm actually on the same setup (Ubuntu 10.04 x64) and I haven't had any of those bugs. I didn't import bookmarks at all (using the same profile from Opera 10.11) and it's much faster than Firefox and Opera 10.11. Chromium is about on par
