Many of these lists aggressively weight cost meaning any substantially expensive school self-eliminates regardless of quality of education.

Borrowers pay more than lenders. You get a cut of those fees as interest. There's risk there of course, but it isn't magic money or a ponzi.

Also worth noting though that "extra" energy per-tx increases the security of that tx. You aren't just paying for the system to function, you're paying for the system to be resistant to bad actors.

Do you know what Aave is or any of the other decentralized finance protocols? Also: "the management of large amounts of money, especially by governments or large companies" it literally is shuffling money around.

Motivation determines if it's illegal. There's plenty of legal precedent for brokers setting assets to liquidation-only when they might not meet their margin requirements.

I have used the app for years and left a 1-star rating. It is still there, but think it's most likely shadow-removed from the visible ratings.

As of right now yes, but when there are more stakeholders and clear/imminent threats to the chain there will likely be more discussion. All proposed forks thus far have been unnecessary for the short-term success of the chain.

A bit late to this but a few things: If BTC is not dead by then, it will likely have some sort of active user base, meaning non-zero fees. If the fees are low, verifiers will stop verifying. If enough stop verifying, the prize pool grows (m

It's a pretty standard rebasing token. Essentially tries to manufacture a peg to some asset by aggressively controlling supply.

That just establishes a price floor. Gold's "inherent" value is substantially below the current price. It is, like BTC, a largely speculative asset that holds the majority of its value "because other people also want it.

If you're looking at USD as the base asset, computers are undergoing inflation, not deflation. Both USD and computers are inflating in supply, but computers are inflating faster (in terms of processing power at least)- hence the contin

Kinda unintuitive, but if you look at processing power as a currency, it is actually undergoing hyperinflation (number of computers + processing power increases every year). Meaning you buy a computer, assuming its value will drop (due to t
