Is there any legislation proposed to ensure cars make at least a certain amount of noise while driving, for safety reasons? The new Prius will have a noise generated so that blind people/distracted people will be aware of the car coming aro

I don't think this is completely Amazons fault. The device is heavily centered around Amazon Prime and the various streaming content services they have. Most of these services are U.S. only thanks to requirements of the publishers. I'm sure

Yes tech blogs went nuts over it, but I don't remember seeing any actual organized Google marketing push on it. If that were to happen, Google would likely be targeting people outside of the tech community.

The headline is sensationalist and wrong. Think of it this way, Metro is their tablet/iPad mode. The iPad has no flash/silverlight in the browser, and neither does Metro IE. This in order to get the best tablet experience, battery life etc.

If it's anything like my Galaxy S in recent firmware updates, it doesn't act in the same way that the unnecessary task killing apps do, it only lets you close things that are actually active and using CPU, not ones that have been suspended

From what I've heard, they are canning the WebOS hardware, but will still be developing the operating system. In fact they are having developer events for WebOS in a few locations this month I believe.

I reckon an Amazon store that serves as an interface to their online store might be good. Don't sell books there, but rather you go in, and can browse through books, drink coffee etc just like a Borders store, and if you have a kindle, you

My iPhone app ( http://convoyapp.net ) uses NodeJS hosted on Heroku, I looked at various NodeJS hosting options and found Heroku the easiest to get going, not being a Rails guy I've not used them before but I can see what the fuss is about

Having just bought one of these, I'd say that I'm more likely to pay for apps as there is a short selection. For instance, on Android I wouldn't pay for Tweetdeck or similar, but on the touch pad I would, as there isn't many options.
