You can? If the user doesn’t opt-in to advertising then you could simply not allow them to use the site... Note, I’m not in any way an expert on the legality of it, but this seems like a silly argument to make. If anything, being more up-fr

Trying to distill 'child rearing' to $15k/year and calling it a 'waste of talent' is absurd. Not everything can (and should) be broken down into a monetary amount and optimized for. You can classify anything as a &#

I've always viewed Tropic Thunder as somewhat of a successor to Blazing Saddles, but I largely agree that it couldn't be recreated today. The time period in which these movies were made is a lot of what makes them so special. That

Not an article, but I've used pgloader for this purpose in the past: https://pgloader.readthedocs.io/en/latest/ Great tool, I can't recommend it enough.

Thanks, Greg. I appreciate the candor, and I'll definitely take a look. It's great to hear that there are no plans to change how open the product is.

Does the recent Kong acquisition not concern you at all? I'm looking to switch, but the ties to Kong make me nervous investing in the platform. Presumably because they might eventually make it always for-pay and/or focus on more e

I don't think there's any surprise that GraphQL reduces the size of the responses compared to typical REST (excluding things like JSON:API). If that's the measurement that's most important, then it seems GraphQL is the o

That's taking it a bit far, no? A more charitable allegory would be a website design agency that relies on Wordpress for websites, so they have Wordpress developers on staff (or on retainer). That doesn't seem unreasonable.

Just an anecdotal data point - on your landing page, you may want to consider adding a small demo of what the playback sounds like. I like the idea of articulu, but I'm not going to download and install an app without hearing what it s

Infants are a dream compared to toddlers. Apart from when they need to be fed or changed, infants do practically nothing and don't have to be watched constantly. Toddlers, on the other hand, are little balls of pure energy that get int

That's the age-old question, isn't it? Your option is better, but XML is very (maybe too) flexible and is bound to be made a mess of.

I'm not an expert by any means, but I'm pretty sure that Ansible uses vanilla YAML (no 'bastardization'). Your first example is an Ansible convenience feature, it's not extending or changing the YAML syntax in any w

You may also want to look into using rsync as an alternative to scp. rsync is much smarter about how it syncs data, so it should be better for your use case.

No, I've mostly accepted it at this point since I don't care too much about the size of /vendor (as long as it's not outrageous). I have noticed that it brings in extra files, though, which a `dep prune` typically helps
