Search on GitHub is very bad IMO. The recent semantic references stuff they've added is helping, but that only seems to be available in certain language/setups and doesn't work cross repo. Google's xref system allowed yo

I'm a big fan of bazel. It's very similar to blaze, which outside of Google is a good and bad thing. The good is that I find BUILD files easier to read/reason about than Makefiles and it also is multilingual. The bad is e

Is there a point of contact for this work? A GitHub issue open? This is an area I'd be interested in.

I would like to point out that Firepad uses the Firebase Realtime Database, not Firestore. See here for the differences between the two databases: https://firebase.google.com/docs/firestore/rtdb-vs-firestore

Some boilerplate to write a custom native plugin is better to me than the dependancy hell you get on ReactNative. That being said - my personal usecase would like a direct C++ interop, and flutter is working on it. See https://gi

Another interesting approach is the way Google Cloud Datastore/Firestore works. The query engine will only allow queries that scale and can happen in a single contiguous scan of an index range. The database can then stream results back
