Shortwaver here - we'd love you have you give Shortwave a try! We already support multi-account for our iOS app. We would love to bring this to the web/PWA soon!

In terms of automating migrations in postgres, I really want declarative migrations and only the safe subset too. The overhead of having a schema defined over a bunch of migrations seems non ideal. The closest tool I've found here is:

I used to work on the Firebase realtime database - many people went to production with public reads/writes. We spent a lot of time trying to educate people not to do that. Examples: https://www.comparitech.com/blog/

Just an FYI creating the Intl formatters is quite expensive and we ran into perf issues and needed to memorize them (globally in the app)

If you're a fan of this approach to deploying applications and use docker, distroless [1] is a really cool project related to this. It uses debian as the base and supports cgo because it has glibc (and openssl) [1]: https://

I think you're supposed to read the header files? I have no idea how people write ffmpeg stuff. The only good tutorial I've seen is: https://github.com/leandromoreira/ffmpeg-libav-tutorial

Yeah our org does the same thing and I'd say this is the gold standard (or at least mine) but sadly I'm assuming most companies don't do this, not everyone runs on docker nor has a build pipeline like this.
