Being angry at the person playing interference for the TV manufacturers seems relevant in that regard.

What prevents one kid in a friend group or in a school from sharing the same identifier? After all - if it doesn't share anything other than a guarantee of the "age" of someone who is authenticating with the website then how

The problem is that it isn't even good. It falls squarely in the realm of "we must do something. This is something. Therefore we must do it."

Zero knowledge proof is either trivially defeated by re-using the same credentials or doesn't have useful privacy guarantees. There really isn't an in-between here for something like age verification.

You are declaring your imagined logic as fact. Since I do not agree with the basis upon which you pin your argument on, there is no further point in discussion.

You use unfalsifiable logic. And you seem to argue that, given the choice, CEOs would prefer not to maximize revenue in favor of... what, affection for an imaginary intern?

"I want a chat bot that's just as reliable at Steve! Sure he doesn't get it right all the time and he cost us the Black+Decker contract, but he's so confident!" You're right! This is exactly what an executive

Didn't Microsoft spend years basing the bonuses and performance reviews of middle management based heavily on the gender and race of who they managed to hire or promote?

Analogies of LLMs to humans obfuscates the problem. LLMs aren't like humans of any sort in any context. They're chat bots. They do not "think" like humans and applying human-like logic to them does not work.

AI is wrong so often that anyone who routinely uses one will get burnt at some point. Users having unflinching trust in AI? I think not.

How come not? I typically hear of some scammy Zero-Knowledge Proof promising the world and delivering either an easy-to-pass-around identifier or something readily able to be mapped back to you as a person.

How? What leverage does Google have in the Desktop space? They have no captive market that they can leverage a forced installation of Aluminum OS.

I don't trust Google anymore or what their business model has become over the years. I won't be using Aluminum OS.

How is it not factually correct? The existance of a faction within Taiwan that wants Taiwan to reunify with Beijing's China isn't materially relevant if they don't have any path forward to accomplish their goal.

So according to your logic, it only counts if it's unanimous inside Taiwan to not be taken over by Beijing but it doesn't need to be unanimous for those who want reunification with China?

Given the ambiguity of the phrase "military use" when the military does, in-fact, use it for things the military does - I am not confident in the slightest with Arduino's use of language here.
