Quite a few of the past large political shifts were due to betrayal and spies, effectively also making months of work undone instantly. The current one was due to a bug or due to a player making a mistake. I don't think players cater a

Good summary, I agree with everything you say. I'm finding reading up on the political evolution is as much fun as actually playing.

This battle wasn't massive for amount of players, but for the in-game resources involved.

At least 2 people replied to you referencing the lossyness of the encoder, but that is actually completely irrelevant and unnecessary to answer your question, as it applies perfectly well to lossless compressors too. See for example Zopfli

I'm surprised that it has essentially been shown that it's easy to corner the mining market/pooling such that 51% attacks are feasible, yet nobody is bearish over this.

>they care about the product now They care about what is on their phone when it is released. I'm pretty sure that's not going to be a version "of a few months back" from now! Conversely, all the really cheap Android phones on sale here

This is because several of those huge German conglomerates are privately, often family-owned, with very little or no accountability to the stock market. They can afford to think long term.

That's funny, I thought it was well understood that Houdart didn't write 99% of Houdini, but it's an improved version of the public domain Ippolit/Robbolito sources, the latter being GPL. It's a bit like calling Alan Cox "author of the wide

From memory, it goes something like this for technical positions: Initial telephone call with a HR person, where you are asked to rank yourself on a scale of 0 to 10 in a number of technical areas. Some simple technical questions, where the
