I'm not an expert on Mexico but none of this has happened in NZ with the TPP.

So the Biden administration isn't really trying to cancel student debt? They are faking the attempt, secure in the knowledge that courts will strike it down? That sounds like an A-grade conspiracy theory to me. > The only citizens

It's not a great society for Uyghurs, or Christians, or Falun Gong, or anyone who want to speak their mind. It's not just accepting limitations on your personal freedom, it's being comfortable with the oppression of everyone

Lots of relatively rich countries are in the TPP, including my country, NZ. It has significant rules protecting labour and environmental conditions. It's fine. From your link: > The surplus with Mexico turned into a chronic deficit.

They could have vaccinated their population while they were maintaining zero-COVID. It's a mystery to me why they didn't make vaccination mandatory.

This assumes that humans in knowledge-based industries will maintain a significant cost-effective edge over AIs in some economically relevant skill domain. There's no reason to believe that will still be true in, say, 10 years.

That's been true for over a decade. Hasn't happened in the wild though AFAIK. I don't think there's an incentive for anyone to do this.

The "problem" here is only that life expectancy has not continued to increase at the rate it was increasing up to around 2010. I see no reason to assume that life expectancy would continue to increase indefinitely at a linear rate

Unsigned integer overflow is not undefined behavior in C++ so won't be caught by UBSan. Also, UBSan is more overhead than turning on Rust's overflow checking.

That could work in the old Unix days, and for toy problems today. But if Firefox crashes you can't just build a mental model of 10M lines of code and intuit the problem.

rr lets you call program functions just like gdb does (using the same gdb commands, in fact). The limitation is that any state changed by those functions is simply dropped when the function ends. It's still super-useful for dumping pro

Debuggers are chronically under-invested in. A lot of the pain points could be fixed just with more money and staff. It's a chicken-and-egg situation --- people don't use debuggers that much, for various reasons, so there isn'

Most record-and-replay debuggers let you store the recording to debug as many times as you want. Pernosco (which builds on rr) has some really powerful state-recording and state-sharing UI for long-term and collaborative debugging. https:&

It helps. In Rust debug builds, integer overflows crash -> tests will detect them. In release builds they're not detected by default, but you can add "overflow-checks = true" to the Cargo profile to enable those checks in
