This is where I'm at. I loved the idea of allowing more remote work. It seems people on both sides of this debate don't want to admit there's a grey area. There's pros and cons to both. Not to mention, so much disinge

totally makes sense! Didn't want to imply any direction! I was just curios as to why/how so little companies/SaaS offer it.

This looks pretty cool. If I may ask a stupid question (to anyone that knows). I think the biggest thing at least for the companies I've worked with and my teams in especially, is screen sharing. What's the barrier to entry there

Jumping into this but I've honestly lost my train of thought, lol That said... is that any different from someone copying and pasting into their code vs copilot doing it? If someone randomly pastes code that has a copyright, and people

I think its too soon... but I imagine at some point there will be fully automated deliveries. There will always be hiccups but same could be said about how it works now.

The sad fact of life is that pokemons will probably be more popular than many "notable" people. More famous than any of us, for certain, haha.

I think winning a Nobel Prize is certainly enough to warrant a Wikipedia entry.

Yea... seems a bit immature too. Didn't address anything the wiki dude said and blamed "society at large" for not producing enough notability for wikipedia. Also in that twitter thread she says: "She may have discovered

I can totally see this being true. I know YouTube and Twitch are kings when it comes weird enforcement of rules. I don't see why Wikipedia would be immune from it... but I don't know enough about the community to say for sure, o

I feel I should know this but are you referring to: https://future.com/ by chance?

Yep. I've also won awards and have published a paper (co-authored) but I imagine if I were to create a wiki entry it would be deleted under the same exact standards.

I was curious about this very thing. At first I thought this was a really cool thing she was doing. I think everyone should be rewarded for their hard work, research or discoveries. I guess I can't say I'm a fan of the way she w

Well, no. However over my lifetime I've more or less been roped into them. I actually had a family road trip as a kid across the entire United States. This was before ipods and iphones and reading in the car would make me sick... so

This is beyond cool! That said, for me at least, being stuck in a car for days on end is marginally better than waterboarding. I never could stand it, haha.

Makes sense actually. I guess small bribes are about the limit of what they can realistically get so they take anything.

$20k is such a small amount (to bribe a politician at least). I'm constantly shocked at how small these bribes always seem to turn out. Unless the big ones are just better hidden, haha.

It’s about time. I just can’t believe how fraud of such a scale can happen. Reminds me of Bernie Madoff.

Glad to finally see some push back on China. Any little bit helps. Even if we were on perfectly good terms, there’s no reason to put ourselves in such a vulnerable position.

I think everyone in that situation is being petty. Looks like the Starlink stuff was in motion well before the whole tweet controversy though? Unless I’m missing something? I have noticed though you can get some absolutely vile reactions

I think its true. I know its cliche to miss the “good old days” but I think you’re spot on. I would only suggest a bit of de-clutter and padding to i Reddit but other than that, its perfect for functionality.

The quality of discussions on hacker news is much better. I feel people here at least try to make an effort and BS typically gets called out. It’s not perfect but there’s a reason I much prefer HN.
