I truly wish Trump would have been able to actually ban TikTok (or at least force a sale). The recent twitter files show that the bond between Government and social media companies is a little too close... but it would be foolish to suggest

Tbf, it seems this could happen anywhere. Imo, seems it would be more prevalent in bigger, more established businesses where you’re further away from the core of the technology. I’ve done consulting and seen tons of bad practices. This i

>The point is that it's better than no having no solution IMO, I just feel like it wastes too much time to justify itself. Hundreds of thousands of hours spent on a solution that relies entirely on the (unreliable) respondent.

They may have already made the changes. I started playing again and I've found they're pretty damn fair with pricing. You can "earn" the currency to buy the skins. I never really buy much though but at least it feels

This I can get behind... but I do always go to the options and turn on "push to talk." I don't like the idea of legislation requiring such a thing though.

What is the point then? It would be like a bar tender asking if you're 21 and letting you drink if you just reply "yes." Regulators would be happy though because "at least you tried?" I get its just trying to shif

It seems so pointless though. I was signing up for all sorts of things when I was a kid. Nothing bad by any stretch of the imagination but I knew when they asked "are you 13" you just click "yes" and you're good to

Wym? This happens all the time. Many of the popular subs will retroactively ban users for posting in other subs. I was banned from a fair amount of subs because I had a trivial argument with a mod in one sub. IIRC it was literally an &quo

Reminds me of that joke where the worlds entire computing system is perched upon a tool by a guy that lives in the middle of Nebraska. Seems the field of people that could get this stuff working (some really awesome hacking) is so small...

I think it's also caused a feedback loop. Very hard to get things off the ground (at least relatively speaking) in Europe. The software salaries also reflect that.

You're never going to be able to follow everything. I only click on a few posts a day. I get what you mean tho. I'm usually frustrated at the fact that there's only 24 hrs in a day.

Yep. I always say “oh, I’ll keep my leet code skills up!” But I can’t for the life of me reason that it’s a better investment actually building things and by the end of the day I’m too burned out.

That has got to be frustrating. I'm a long time OW player and I literally _never_ bought skins or used them. I had 1k in loot boxes that I never opened just because I don't care about the skins... but now any sense of "progr

I’m not really shocked. Interesting to see it all finally come out though. People were certainly made fun of for implying that they were shadow banned (in the sense that they were more suppressed than the average user) and tons of people w

IMO, this only creates a feedback loop where you eventually will support contradictory and completely unrelated positions. I totally get the idea of delegating away thinking about specific, maybe esoteric issues... but we're at a point
