I like to get things "out of my head" and just on to "paper." Once I do that, I can sort them out better. I have an app called UpNote which works really well. For things with deadlines, I use ClickUp. I personally thin

Ah, I see what you mean. Yes, it will be hard to get much from Simons. I think he is a man that knows his strengths and weaknesses and I feel he keeps to his domain. He doesn't even talk much about that though, haha.

Well, not sure how else to say it but there's 0 benefit in Simons saying _anything_ that might give insight into how Rentec operates. He's been secretive about it his entire life. Imo, there is no "secret." There is ju

This sounds like terribly "old-fashioned" thinking... at the same time, not everything new is good. I'm afraid you're right though. Seems short form is destroying attention spans across the board. I even notice it in

What happened to Google? Third story in a short time I've seen about an employee doing something incredibly stupid (and) if not outright criminal.

Well, IMO its certainly better than emails. I think the main problem is people think they can just search for context when they forget it... but then you eventually forget what you need to remember :) I find wikis to be pretty useful.

I was actually trying to be _less_ polarizing in my phrasing. The issue isn't that ppl are under the impression they got to take these items home. The issue is that there is 0 reason on earth for schools to be introducing kids to butt

This should 100% be a required teaching for any CS program at universities. Being able to glide through your code is a wonderful thing and I feel many never experience it until much later in their career.

Yea. I was actually shocked at how many people use Windows for development work. I could sorta see it if you're frontend but backend... tooling has been so much smoother in POSIX. It's funny how I see some devs stuck in WSL for
