As long as a 4-day work week doesn't mean 10-hour work days.

For anyone stumbling upon this thread now, Unclack now supports macOS Catalina! I pushed an update today that is available from the landing page. Check it out! Thanks again for your support of Unclack!

Love it! I'm glad that you could bring mic-muting to the wider world outside the macOS Big Sur bubble. Appreciate the shoutout for Unclack!

Yeah I can confirm haha. It's dead simple, but also hopefully has the benefit of that simplicity on your performance.

Unfortunately yes... I'm using some of the latest SwiftUI API's to build the UI that I haven't back-ported for Catalina just yet. Of course my work laptop is also locked on Catalina, so I kind of played myself there as well!

Haha Unclack actually does let you configure the Menu Bar icon and mute indicator appearance, including being able to disable the mute indicator altogether! :)

Yeah, a little confusing. I updated the text on the Unclack landing page to specify that it mutes your microphone , not your keyboard. Appreciate the feedback!

I wish! I spent a long time considering if I could detect keyboard sounds through the active microphone and mute on a certain decibel level or typing velocity, etc. or even get as fancy as that sort of noise-cancelling approach. In the end

Thanks so much for your feedback! I actually just pushed an update to the homepage to make that tweak - you're right that it was a bit misleading.

I sometimes look forward to outages like this just so I can read the post-downtime-resolution blog post that almost always follow. I find reading about how companies deal with issues when shit hits the fan to be really interesting.

This comment speaks to me. I'm in a weird point at my job where I'm right at the tail end of supporting this legacy app I've worked on for years, and a brand new app my team will be building from scratch. It's pretty sur

Disappointed we have another year of the same iMac design, especially with serious Mac Pro rumors swirling. Guess I'll wait for the laptops this year to see HOW Apple gets my money lol.

I wouldn't pay anything to Facebook for their service, but I would pay for a Facebook competitor who offered a similar type of service. If only out of spite.

I loved this article. Stories like this make me feel a weirdly intense connection with everyone. One thing we can all have in common is our evolutionary history and how it made us the beings we are, flaws and all.

I think San Francisco and Roboto are distinctively Apple and Google respectively. I also think they matter more because they're system fonts on some of the biggest platforms (and maybe just because I happen to like them). If I ever se
