I personally noticed that they don't last as long and most brands are very similar. My KitchenAid is 3 years old and starting to randomly leak or fail to rinse. Or sometimes it just takes 12 hours to finish a load that normally takes 1

Exactly, Stone Age man had to hunt his food and that meant hiking/hunting all day long until you found some game. And then there were days where you had to go a day or a few without eating anything other than some berries.

It doesn't even have to be lawsuits - I've seen cease and desist letters be sent in the past. Not everyone has the financial resources to hire on lawyers to go through with a lawsuit.

You and me both. Anecdotally a lot of seasoned tech folks I talk to say that their experience trumps masters degrees. Only if somebody wants to get into management then they may be see an upside to getting one. Personally during interviews

This is purely anecdotal and dependent on location/neighborhood. In my suburban ‘hood with white picket fences, you see people walking dogs everyday - and we’re not an exactly good example of a walkable neighborhood.
