I am saying the ergonomics are worse on the iPhone 5 for me and I believe I have slightly larger than average hands. Perhaps you have large hands, and loved the original XBox controller, but you would be in a minority.

We all know that Android would have this if it wasn't for patents. You can't scroll without the page moving... so I don't understand your point. Plus if you are scrolling slowly and reading as you go, having a litte bit of background show (

I still think the iPhone 4 &< had the best screen size for ergonomics. I don't think you can contest that. The iPhone 5 compromises to make the screen bigger, but only by a little. I don't think I could use a 4" device like a Nexus

I have always wondered about that feature, and always think.. - What if two people are looking at it. - Does it flick on and off as I look around - Is it using a huge amount of power when ever the screen is on, not only with powering the s

Yes but getting the transition from one to the other takes a long long time.

It's a shame you can't query the CSS from the JS, so you are not left in a position of having delays specified in two places (see queueing transitions). I guess that also questions if this sort of thing is behaviour or style?

Also, what were the chances that someone would even notice "Safari" in their log files had it of slipped out, vs some stats company who only work on iPhones noticing a new iPhone version. Apple 10 years ago < Apple now

You are lucky no one changed their system clock for testing before launch! Then again it doesn't seem Apple do that very often, cough Do not disturb cough ;)

You also have to be aware of context, otherwise you will have apps downloading crap loads of data over your limited SIM contract, or eating up your battery for something that only makes a difference on desktop...

It could be an issue when you have online play, with those at 60FPS kicking ass. However if you default online to 60, the mags can take their screenshots from campaign ;)

If there is one thing they learn from this sale, it's that no one seems to understand what IDEA is, and how each product relates to each other!

There are some nice themes in the new one, but yes it's not up to the polish of XCode. However it does work very well... Being cross platform has it's issues, see iTunes on PC? However Adobe seem to do a decent job, perhaps being a creative

It's my understanding that Idea can do everything the other products can do. The others are just cheaper as they have limited features. EDIT - From reading the comments I think appCode is separate but the others can be installed as plug-ins

Perhaps the answer is to have two modes, one at 60FPS with graphical compromises and one at 30FPS without. That way the harder core can play at 60FPS and those more concerned about looks can play at 30. The only worry is they introduce a 1F

That and they are using Tom Tom data for navigation. There have been 100's of stories about sat navs taking people on wrong turns, but when it's related to an iPhone you'r going to get more hits! https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=sat+nav+w

I guess one advantage he gets is that is works on iOS devices tapping into the hardware acceleration thanks to CSS3 animations. I fear disable JS will be the new flash blocker :/

As others have said most flash sites of this kind did the exact same hack and provided an HTML fallback that used JS to replace the fallback div with the correct Object/embed for the browser.

I had the same issue with a 11" MBP back in the day and had the same great fix, although I was told to throw the old battery away. I also had an issue with a 1Gen time capsule, which when it broke got replaced in store no questions asked. I

This is more of a show of expression that creating a usable site. Again this reminds me of the Flash days, where people were doing things because they could rather than because they should. CSS text rotation is a great example of this. Stil

They need to change their ways so we can spend time and money investing in new technology, not supporting an ever growing span of obsolete systems. They don't have to, but they they will ultimately suffer along with all consumers.

I really hope it's an enterprise thing. Enterprise need to get better at upgrading and testing systems, otherwise as developers we are stuck accommodating the lowest common denominator. cough IE6 cough
