I often wonder what my generation won't care about in 35 years that the younger population see as outrageous. My most obvious guess is more rights to non humans, AI/Animals/Environment etc.

It's a lot to expect graceful degradation when we can't even get cross browser support (looking at you whatsapp). I think it far more likely to get a super basic alternative, almost a raw data version. Sadly the main driver for th

Quite a lot of cars have lane assist now, where they will have a light on the wing mirror if there is something in your blind spot. They also vibrate the wheel if you go over lanes and aid in steering your back. I imagine this is a combinat

Mine tracks bikes well, I think it also uses a camera mounted above the rear view mirror. It also uses that camera to dip the headlights, which is often tricked by two lights close together (reflectors on bollards or traffic cones). It'

I took a test drive with a few friends who have BMW, Mercs and they had the same impression. The cars they compete with in terms of cost in the UK (engine etc aside) the build quality and the interior is more line with a Ford at a quarter o

I got adaptive cruise control in an Audi A3 last year and was amazed to find out it was first introduced in the mid 90s! That being said it feels very futuristic having a radar in your car and makes driving on the motorway a lot more pleasa

Most things are tried a few times before the technology or society is really ready. Take the Newton and the iPad, I can't think of a product category which hasn't been tried before and failed. When you have a screen on your glasse

Shouldn't there be more of a narrative to this? What is the goal? I could see kids clicking on stuff for a few minutes, lose interest and close it.

I was suggesting GPS wouldn't work with most rooms having ceilings. Wifi positioning I would imagine is highly inaccurate, which leaves the gyroscope. Judging by some screenshots and appstore comments I assume its only roughly accurate

The best is when your PM goes to one and then comes in on Monday expecting you to implement all your features by 1AM if he gets the Pizzas in... IMO it breeds bad habits of coding, planning and management...
