I was until I started needing things like true colour support and was forced into trying other options. But if you haven’t noticed anything missing or not working with software that you use then Terminal.app is a fine choice

I went in the other direction and use Zellij for multiplexing. It works well for me, and I’ll be keeping an eye out for the Ghostty public beta to see how that compares. Great to have all these good options.

Helix is definitely worth a look if you’d like to minimise the time you spend configuring things. It’s not as ubiquitous as Vim et al of course but that may not be an issue for you (it certainly isn’t for me)

Where it really shone while I was trialling it was its ability to guess exactly what throwaway code I wanted while I was prototyping this and that and wrapping it all up in a println! call. It was extremely handy from an autocomplete perspe

I like this general idea and indeed do similar things, but I’d personally much rather use regular keyboard shortcuts powered by something like Alfred than rely on the Touch Bar
