While I really don't care about this new app since I'm very happy with their IMAP/JMAP support, there is a fact that you don't know at all. You have no visibility on the number of users asking for a desktop client. I ado

To me, it doesn’t seem any more far-fetched than, say, instantiating a virtual DOM in the browser.

I use Cursor only because of their extraordinary tab suggestion feature. It's still blowing the competition away. It's 1000000 times better than any other tools I've tried and I've tried them all. Cursor should focus on

Omarchy will still have to distribute its image, so lots of bandwidth since they do not want to rely on the AUR during the install process (since AUR has been targeted by DDOSS attacks recently). Perhaps Cloudflare will provide that and not

Clearly you haven't been following what Ladybird's team have been doing in the last months. With almost no resources, they've created this web engine that is almost at par with the giants.

The great strength of Omarchy is the fact that they've repackaged every good things from many different projects (arch, hyperland, and many packages) so I can install a fully functional distro with nice defaults, and every hardware wor

I don't understand why we always assume bad faith. I wish more companies were like Cloudflare actually - trying to balance the need of revenues while trying to do good for internet and open source as a whole. As a normal user with a fe

First rule of MacOS upgrade: don't. Second rule: wait for x.1 or x.2 releases, so it's more stable and most importantly, the dependencies you need get updated.

The former website's version was genius. This new version is genius too, but for totally different reasons. It's so creative, funny, beautiful and technically advanced. It's also extremely hard to understand globally. I find

Zig was created in 2016 though - almost 10 years at this point. Perhaps the surprise here is that we are not as exposed to this language on well-known and established projects as other languages like Rust, Go and C.

Complex subject, beautifully simple to read. Congrats to the author. Also: I love that super passionate people still exist, and are willing to challenge the statut quo by attacking really hard things - things I don't have the brain to

Well, isn't it like Yolo mode from Claude Code that we've been using, without worry, locally for months now? I truly think that Yolo mode is absolutely fantastic, while dangerous, and I can't wait to see what the future holds

This is amazing and incredible. Thanks for this. Raycast is great, and there are not many good launchers on Linux unfortunately. Launchers are so important in my opinion to interact with the computer. I hope this project will change the sit

Your comment is as insulting as it is indicative of a complete lack of knowledge about the world of editors and software development in general.

Looks super nice. Congrats on the launch. Personally I use Harlequin, the TUI SQL tool, which works best for me. I don't really GUI for these kind of tools, but I can understand the value for some. Wishing you all the success with this

I’m so glad this is possible. Kudos to Turso for giving this man a new chance. We often criticize people for past bad behavior, but in many cases (not all, of course), they deserve a second chance in life, since most of us can change.

Beware of European companies too if there is a WWIII. Beware of Asian companies because China is not far away. What a weird comment.

It's not actually. The problem was not marketing. The problem was the product itself. No marketing could have helped them, as the product was so bad. The good reminder here, is to build something people actually want.

I completely agree. It takes a lot of resources. Again - it's all about the value it gives in return of what it takes. For me, it's worth it. For many others, it's not.

I'm glad the founders have found a way out. This is key when launching a product that never really took off. However, I never understood why this product existed in the first place. I'll probably get downvoted to oblivion, but to

I work at a major bank. I’m an avid Firefox user at home. Dev tools on Firefox are just better. At work, Firefox is forbidden and I can’t install it. For « security » reasons. I swear. The only browser I have the right to use is Chrome.
