Perhaps you're not enjoying the work, or you're burned out because you're working too hard. Take a step back and think about WHY you want to quit NOW. Keep asking yourself why, why, why, and find what is the real root cause.

Looks like they had the interns design this during their down time. Really forgettable, and uninspired.

Other than the deep integration with AWS, can anyone help me understand what's different with this compared to the other various container schedulers?

Why do you think they never won the hearts of the people who actually had to use the product?

Stereo audio sent to a single endpoint is different than two audio streams sent to two different endpoints and then synchronized. (I assume that's the challenge, because as little as 1ms delay can cause noticeable phasing.)

The margins are too thin on a boring desktop PC. If they spec bump the cheese grater, that will cannibalize the ground-breaking new Mac Pro. Same reason why they won't put it out this year, they don't want to cut into the imac pro

"lock-in" potential should be measured in how difficult it is to escape a platform/system/framework. E.g., if I become unhappy with k8s on Google Cloud, it's easy to migrate to aws. If I become unhappy with k8s, it&

Docker is a amazing tool, but I think the technical design and overall strategy for Swarm wasn't very well executed. Moving to k8s is a smart thing for them, because it's objectively better for real production use. In our tests ab

Yes, for example GCP does not have S3's "eventual consistent" behavior. When data is written to GCP, it's available to read immediately.

I tried this with kubectl, but it crashed... so I used gcloud feedback to send a stacktrace, it sent me to a page with a 400 response. Overall, seems a bit too early to start promoting this for any real use.

So because they have 2 operating systems, they're allowed to be sloppy now? And indeed they're focusing on expanding into other industries, rather than refining their products, I think that's the point.

You're right, to a degree. The benefit of electric cars is they're mechanically simpler, and so these tolerances do not matter quite as much for long-term reliability.

The Met Museum is "donation suggested", because the land was donated by the city on the condition they kept the entrance free for everyone... But they make it seem like the $20 fee is mandatory.

Markets do correct themselves, usually at the expense of the poorest or least powerful. A hypothetical scenario where this market could self-regulate is 1980s NYC happens again in 2020. Blight and crime everywhere, but wow! Look at how that

The dollar is massively over inflated in major US cities. Studio apartments in Manhattan sell for $800-950k. A loaf of decent bread costs $6-8. A beer costs $8 (plus tip). I know that Norway is also expensive, but is it this bad?
