Couldn't you do almost the exact same thing using pdb, without all the C API / register stuff? Maybe I misunderstood the post, but it sounds like you're just stopping right before the request returns, reloading the module, generating a new

Is there a well-known framework or JS library that most of these "scroll to animate" pitch decks are using? It seems like a lot of work to roll your own, and I imagine the designers have better things to do. They all seem to work roughly th

In my opinion, that IS an ambiguous question. Not in the sense that it's hard to understand approximately what you're looking for, but that it's not obvious how to choose the right answers. I agree that this kind of moderation can be a bit

This is interesting - I actually wrote a tool very similar to Grc a while back: http://pypi.python.org/pypi/rad It uses the same idea of config files specifying what regexes to look for and how to color them. This tools looks a little mor

Seems like there's a lot of consensus here that Modafinil has no known dangerous side effects. I'm a little curious and concerned about the potentially fatal skin conditions (SJS, etc.) mentioned in the wikipedia article though: http://en.

Awesome concept! Thanks for building this. One possible issue - There needs to be some kind of search for finding similar "VimBits". I wanted to add some of my favorites, but I have no way of knowing whether they're there already without re

I would second this. Managing with pathogen is really finicky and a huge timesink if you screw things up. The newer versions of Vundle are fantastic, and give you features like lists of your current plugins and searching of the plugins repo

To some degree, I can agree with Ryan here that a lot of software these days is unnecessarily complex. However, I also think that his view is biased because he works on a project that is responsible for a great deal of abstraction. The aver

I think you'll find that any "free webhost" is going to give you a lot of trouble if you want to deploy a project built on a modern web framework. Rule of thumb: if it doesn't have SSH access, and it's not a Platform-as-a-Service like Herok
