Always entertaining to read how some things are so obviously wrong as to be laughable, but this is somewhere between solar roadways being feasible and hyperloop being physically possible. It's a grab for money from idiot investors imo.

There's a bit more nuance to the research which is lost in the alarmist media reporting, but welcome to the realisation that a highly technical field will be misreported on by sensationalist headlines for clicks.

It was also a largeish dataset it's probably never encountered before which was trained for a limited number of epochs (from the papers description with 4o) so I'm not shocked the model went off the rails as I doubt it had finishe

And your pulse audio service is running as which user now? This is a local exploit but for any system supporting the mentioned combination of services, aka a lot of them, including the RHEL derivatives and likely Ubuntu. https://

At the time they hadn't and I'm fed up of the jumping to conclusions that env vars are the cause of any security issue. This is blaming poor code from poor devs on expert features from UNIX all to often. Worrying when said person

NO, this is NOT environment variables. It's the wrong argument to a tool, but the suid part has nothing to do with environment variables or cleaning the env up. PLEASE STOP SPREADING FUD.

If the cost of doing so ever truely drops then yes, verified pure signal to train models on vs everything ever written would make for better models :)

A damning statement of the masses. How about LLM do away with the pointless painful and thankless brute forcing of huge databases of physical paper to find the key piece of information you want to check something against. Teaching that, tha

My favourite is the standard of water cooled high current high voltage cables for charging EVs... Imo that's stepping beyond the risk profile of filling a tank with a known high explosive that can evaporate and suffocate and catch fire

It's a next generation Lithium battery, I've seen lithium chemistry power storage quoted as high as 600 in some prototypes so I'm guessing they cracked something in the lithium chemistry. Given it's still lithium based I
