Are you sure about that? See Section 2.2 of the report, "Examples of CAI Contracts" that says "The IC currently acquires a large amount of CAI" and goes on to list specific data brokers contracted by specific government

In the J6 case they used a subpoena, yes. The OP article says that they're now going around the legal process by simply buying the data. But my point is that the article implies that there's some uncertainty as to whether this dat

It's irrelevant because my entire and only point is that the government has this capability, no "may" about it. Whether my choice of words implied the level of ideological purity that you wished to see has nothing to do with

No, they were overrun after taking a shot, which compromised their position. The incident you're talking about happened much earlier, in Iraq. I believe this article is referencing it: https://www.dvidshub.net/news/

Although I was tangentially involved in the aforementioned incident, I'm not sure what level the change came from or what the process is but it was an extremely broad order--at least Marine Corps-wide, and possibly for all units in the

The military took many lessons from Vietnam that didn't work in the Middle East. As one example, at the start of the war in Afghanistan, Marine scout snipers would operate in two-man teams. This was a Vietnam-era SOP that favored steal

Why would this be a risk? The data is already on your machine. It would be much easier for a hacker to target that data directly, as they do today, than to try to extract some impossibly obfuscated form of it from an LLM.
