Except now we have corporations controlling the free flow information - which is worse? In a semi free country such as the usa at least we can vote someone out of office that we don’t like. At least we used to be able to and now with all th

It’s actually a very modern and well equipped system. I think it’s fault is that it is sized for what they wish were the ridership numbers rather than what they are in reality.

Any money spent on public transportation would be better spent upgrading infrastructure to serve autonomous vehicles. Our bus system where I live travels with many busses nearly empty. This is what happens when they are funded by a percenta

I agree with that. Apple should not appear to be in bed with any particular vendor. They have done a good job in the past maintaining their independence and it should continue. It’s just a chip off their armor but they are additive.

Bias? It’s called the electoral college. It’s part of that unpopular document called the United States Constitution.

I agree with that to the extent that the States stick with the Constitution ie my right to bear arms is not infringed when I travel or a particular state or a state’s decision does not cause my taxes to raise in a different state where I li

May not be a perfect system but there is not a perfect way to represent such a wide and diverse area and population. I think our founders did quite well.

You’re correct. It’s a Republic with a sane voting system that keeps the mobs from the population centers from ruling the country. You say weakness I say strength.

I read his blog post and commend him on his insight and leadership. Politics can be divisive, destructive and at best distractive. One nutjob on either side of the coin (haha?) could be a risk to the integrity of the company of whole not to

The voice? I think there were many voices of reason that had his back. It was very enlightening to see what extremes people will go to at times.

While we are at it we should name some of these west coast fires after the politicians who have supported shutting down the forests to sensible resource management.

Disclaimer: I had to lookup to see what QAnon was. Maybe there was more to the group other than conspiracy theories but theories are only that until supporting evidence is uncovered. How many scientific theories were just that until proven?

That is by design. I wish our state (Oregon) was of similar design so that all interests are represented. As it is now the populous centers, mostly Portland and Eugene, dictate their values to the rest of the state.

I’m trying to figure out how PP is the problem. You send police to a high crime area and they incarcerate people that break the law. Let’s instead send the police to a zero crime area. The cops have an easy shift and arrest no one. That hig
