I understand the criticism towards systemd but let's not start making things up. From useradd (8) manual: "Usernames must start with a lower case letter or an underscore, followed by lower case letters, digits, underscores, or das

Reminds me of: http://i.imgur.com/rG0p0b2.gif A lock screen should just ask for a password, period. Add more stuff and it will be more likely to be bypassed.

The language is so simple you can learn all of it in a day. Read through chapter 15 in the nix[1] manual and that's it. To me it doesn't feel weird at all: I can't think of any feature that was new or surprising when I starte

I store the settings. It's either in the shell history or I just remember it. There are few services, notably online banking websites, that impose such requirements: ironically they are reducing the strength of my password scheme. I us

This has been covered a few times before. See this for example: https://mathiasbynens.be/notes/javascript-unicode Data.Text seems to recognize symbols made of several codepoints (like emoji) as one but still counts dia

Yes, I'm sure the length of a UTF-8 string is something tricky but Data.Text has a length function nonetheless. The APIs are very similar if not identical. You can see it here: https://hackage.haskell.org/package/t

The problem with working with strings in Haskell is that there are too many datatypes: Data.Text, Data.Text.Lazy, Data.ByteString Data.ByteString.Char8, Data.ByteString.Lazy, Data.ByteString.Lazy.Char8. All of them share the same function n

I think it suffice to disable root login, password authentication and maybe use a non-standard port to clear the logs from scanners. What do you do if your address changes or something? I wouldn't risk locking myself out.

I don't get it: why are the using using many fake but valid domains? Wouldn't a non-existing TLD do exactly the same thing while being impossible to register by anyone trying to stop the malware?

You are probably confusing antimatter with dark matter or dark energy. Antimatter is not some idea scientists invented to fix a theory: it has been observed, produced and even has normal life applications like PET scan.
