There's 86box, based on PCEM; https://github.com/86Box/86Box/ ...it has support for several PC/XT/AT models. If you can get it onto a floppy image, I'm sure it would run it just fine.

It is pretty suprising, all things being equal. I'd suggest keeping a close eye on this issue: https://github.com/Microsoft/MS-DOS/issues/2

FreeBASIC is pretty cool, qb64 isn't bad either -and might be a shade closer to the original quickbasic? (I'm not sure as I don't know enough QB arcana to test). https://www.qb64.org/

NASM also has macro capability, though I'm not sure how it compares to the others you mentioned (EDIT or to gas). On the plus side, it's available on Linux. https://www.nasm.us/doc/nasmdoc4.html

Granted; however the fact that Warner (and from what I read Sony) have lost confidence in Spotify that could easily lead to cutting off their access to their content (artists and music).

>What in the article would lead you to make that decision? The fact that Sony has also sold their shares, and Universal is contemplating it. If they see Spotify as failing (even if they don't admit it -as Cooper pointedly denies at

Kids today ? "“I think we’ve been through a period where too many people have been given to understand that if they have a problem, it’s the government’s job to cope with it. ‘I have a problem, I’ll get a grant.’ ‘I’m homeless, the go

I just now installed 8.0-release in vmware, with two drives, and used zpool to create a new zfs filesystem. I can't vouch for how optimized it is; but zfs is definitely there . https://gyazo.com/0f6261cf415b85010fcaa92

I joined /. in 2000; a lot of folks argue about when the peak was but 2000 either was it or was shortly thereafter. I think that HN now is far better than /. was then. Like /. of old you have knowledgeable people contributing

It seems like Sun was already failing and tried to go the open source route as a failed Hail Mary. They probably would have met the same fate and probably after about the same amount of time, even if they hadn't gone open source.

I'm in the same boat. My ISP's DNS servers tend to be very slow and often unresponsive. As a result I've used googles (a bad idea, in retrospect) for the last 10 years or so.

I skipped Digg; it seemed always seemed irrelevant to me (EDIT: that's just my personal perception -obviously I was wrong). My personal journey was: BBS -> Usenet -> Slashdot -> phpbb/vb forums -> Ars -> Reddit ->

There's also a website; pleasekillme.com which is tangentially related. At least the authors seem to be involved with the site to a large (but not exclusive) degree.

On my desktop, it seems to work pretty well in Virtualbox -at least until I tried to install Office 2010 on it. It doesn't seem to deal well with the audio and network drivers, though. I had no luck installing visual studio 6 in my vm.
