I don't see the current tech making supply infinite. Not even close. Maybe a more advanced type of model they'll invent in the next years. Who knows... But GPT-like models? Nah, they won't write useful code applicable in prod

Agree 100%. If you absolutely need to distribute data, it means you're working at a scale where things are already complex. Using SQLite for that will not simplify your life, it will just make it harder to tackle the complexity. Unless

It does look like Google will be the Yahoo of 2030 Perhaps even sooner, given the pace tech is evolving nowadays comparing to when Google took over Yahoo's place.

It might work for fine-tuning an open model to a narrow use case. But creating a base model is out of reach. You need an order of probably hundreds of millions of $$ (if not billion) to get close to GPT 4.

Generally agree. Instead of "path to profitability", I think path to ROI is more appropriate, though. WhatsApp never had a path to profitability, but it had a clear path to ROI by building a unique and massive user base that major

So if it's not possible to boycott an American or Israeli business, there's nothing an activist could do to manifest his support to humanity when innocent people are slaughtered inside their houses by savages?

Speaking about pro-palestinian activism in general, not particularly OP, who I don't know: If one is an activist, a group commits atrocities and there's no private business related to them, then one sits and do nothing? The peopl

I'm not convinced one "cannot" do it with an existing programming language, as the link states. I agree that the ergonomics of a languaged planned for that is better. But the argument that it's *only* possible with a pur

I think the time savings will be more appealing. It allows for fast iteration and shorter go-to-market, which can generate virtually infinite value, as opposed to saving electricity, which is a limited game.

I think a training / inference platform that shares scale efficiencies would be very attractive. I'd use it for sure. Problem with most platforms is they keep ALL scale efficiencies for themselves, which scares away big projects.
