I read a few sentences and am wondering what an NFT is. I’m familiar with OpenSea but there really is not much explanation here for people not already deeply embedded in this world.

Got it. I’m fresh on FTL, first I’ve really dug into it so apologies for the ignorance. I’m in the industry of stream transport and mostly work with SRT. Looking forward to tinkering with this!

This project is pretty cool, I’ll tinker around with it tomorrow. As an aside, I’ve noticed you’re building out your own stream protocol stack (FTL/LightSpeed). What’s the reasoning there? Seems slightly inconvenient to have to “hack”

Honestly just more proof that we need decentralization of the Internet. Handing over control of our digital platforms and identities to 3rd party for-profit companies is not the way the internet should work.

I did a bunch of hacking on bochs for a little virtualization toy project last year and found the source pretty easy to follow, at least much more-so than qemu. Wish I knew about this overview doc before then...

FFMPEG is a great tool for any IP video streaming workflow. You can easily define multiple outputs. Check out the live streaming guide: https://trac.ffmpeg.org/wiki/StreamingGuide I just haven't yet found a good w

I've been looking into building a containerized FFMPEG stream routing solution but haven't been able to think of a good use-case. What is your alternative destination after Facebook RTMPS?

I found it interesting that the section that explains the name of this vulnerability is way more thought-out and verbose than any of the other sections. It's almost like they had a linguist on the team and the emoji name was his pridef

WebRTC is direct peer to peer. There’s a reliance on a STUN/TURN server to provide signaling for things like NAT traversal but other than that it’s all p2p.

This is hilarious, and makes me think humans have been entertained by dumb depictions of genitalia for as long as we’ve been human. I can’t help but think these works are the Norman equivalent of a bored teenager’s notebook drawings.

I imagine I could edit a file in a web-based editor and my collaborators would be able to see those edits in real time. Maybe it wouldn’t be a full-fledged IDE, but I could imagine building development workflows into gitlab’s CI/CD pi

It looks like Repl.it is in this thread, they might provide an exact answer. But, if they don’t, here’s my take. To me it seems like this is something that would be built in-house with the ability to leverage repl.it’s existing application

This is the most common argument FOR Net Neutrality, but I don't think there is any evidence to believe that this is exactly what ISPs will do if Net Neutrality ends.

From my point of view, a curated internet would be much less noisy. I'd only be allowed to access to the content that I want to have access to. Reducing the amount of useless and distracting information that I can see would increase my

I'm in the process of building a system to do just that; super easy, small to medium container deployment. It's still a WIP and there's not much (or any) documentation, but if it generates some interest I'll work on it m
